Looking for a summer job where you can build leadership skills, spend your days outdoors, and make a real impact ? Join our team as a Waterfront Lifeguard and help create a safe, fun, and empowering environment for campers at Rock Hill Camp.

This is more than just a lifeguard role—you’ll be a mentor, role model, and key part of an unforgettable camp experience.

What You’ll Do

As a Waterfront Lifeguard, you’ll work closely with the Waterfront Director to ensure a safe, engaging, and well-run aquatic program . Responsibilities include:

• Supervise and safeguard campers during all waterfront and pool activities
• Lead and support daily swim sessions and special waterfront events
• Assist with swim instruction and skill development
• Enforce safety rules and respond quickly in emergency situations
• Help maintain waterfront equipment, facilities, and supplies
• Participate in staff trainings and ongoing skill development
• Keep accurate activity and safety records
• Be an active, positive contributor to the overall camp community

✅ What You Bring

• Must be 17 years or older
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (including Waterfront)
• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certification
• High school student or diploma/GED
• Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and enthusiasm for working with youth

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods
• Comfortable lifting 15+ lbs
• Able to navigate outdoor/uneven terrain
• Energetic and able to stay active throughout the day
