Front Desk Receptionist – Independent Living Facility
Location: Allegria Village, Dearborn, MI

Schedule: Part-Time | Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Availability: Must be able to work every weekend, this is a set schedule.
Allegria Village, a premier senior living community in Dearborn, is seeking a friendly, professional, and service-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to support our Independent Living residents. If you're a people person who thrives in a warm, fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
As the first point of contact for residents, families, staff, and visitors, the Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while providing administrative support. This role is responsible for handling all front desk responsibilities, including phone operations, visitor management, and mail distribution.
Operate a multi-line phone system: answer, route, and place calls; retrieve and forward voicemail messages.
Provide general information, directions, and assistance to callers and visitors.
Greet and direct residents, visitors, vendors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain and update resident directory, floor plans, and room listings.
Manage front desk sign-in/out logs for residents and guests.
Handle outgoing mail postage; sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, newspapers, and floral deliveries.
Ensure all deliveries are directed to the appropriate person and follow up on unclaimed items.
Maintain up-to-date internal contact lists for staff and departments.
Log daily events and provide shift handoff updates to evening receptionist.
Report concerns or issues promptly to the Support Services Manager.
Perform additional administrative or clerical duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous front desk, receptionist, or administrative experience preferred.
Strong phone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently.
Ability to remain calm and think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Genuine compassion and enthusiasm for working with seniors.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, push, pull, stretch, and type throughout the shift.
