About Our Client:

Addison Group has partnered with a large healthcare organization in search of a Medical Receptionist to support their team. This role centers on patient-facing responsibilities, including appointment scheduling, patient registration, and ensuring a smooth front desk experience.

Job Description:

The Medical Receptionist will handle patient registration, appointment scheduling, and ensure that all demographic and insurance information is accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-volume patient registration, ensuring accurate entry of demographics, insurance, and contact information
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments while managing provider calendars and minimizing gaps
  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance coverage at each visit to ensure billing accuracy
  • Utilize OncoEMR to document patient encounters, update records, and track appointment activity
  • Check patients in and out efficiently, collecting copays and providing visit-related documentation
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments, including referrals and authorizations when required
  • Maintain a fast-paced front desk workflow, supporting a high daily patient volume while delivering excellent customer service
  • Answer and triage incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries or directing them to appropriate departments
  • Coordinate with clinical and billing teams to ensure accurate patient information and smooth revenue cycle processes
  • Handle patient intake forms, consent documents, and ensure all required documentation is completed and scanned into the system
  • Resolve patient concerns professionally while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Monitor appointment schedules for no-shows or cancellations and proactively fill openings

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physician office or medical front desk setting
  • Demonstrated experience with patient scheduling, registration, and front office workflows
  • Experience in high-volume environments preferred; backgrounds in oncology, cardiology, or family practice are highly valued
  • Familiarity with OncoEMR is a plus, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and patient service skills, both in person and over the phone

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7AM-4:30PM
  • Work Model: Onsite
  • Environment: Front office/Patient Facing
