The department of Biology is a large, unified department with strong undergraduate degrees, nationally-ranked graduate programs, and world-class research spanning the breadth of biological questions and experimental systems from ecosystems to microbiology and developmental biology, from evolution to cell biology, from molecular biology to systems biology, bioinformatics, and genomics. Job Summary
Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) seeks a motivated and innovative Flow Cytometry Analyst. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the IUB Flow Cytometry Core Facility (FCCF), which supports life science research on the entire IUB campus and beyond. Key instruments include the Cytek Aurora Spectral Cell Sorter, Sony SH800 Cell Sorter, CytoFLEX LX Cell Analyzer, MACSQuant VYB Cell Analyzer, and COPAS Select large particle sorter. This role is essential to researchers across several departments at IUB, including Medical Sciences, Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, and Chemistry.

The role regularly requires the ability to effectively communicate. The role frequently requires the ability to move about the work environment and to position oneself to operate laboratory equipment effectively. The role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
