Job Description

TalentWorld is recruiting a Director, Asset Protection in Canada for one of its valued partners. This organization is a recognized leader operating in a highly regulated, complex environment where security, risk management, and operational integrity are critical to success.
This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands-on leader to build and elevate enterprise asset protection programs, strengthen controls, reduce operational risk, and drive process improvement across a multi-site national footprint. The successful candidate will blend security expertise, business acumen, and data-driven decision-making to support both operational excellence and organizational growth.

The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, plus bonus potential, and is specific to candidates located in Canada. Compensation will be determined based on experience, leadership scope, and demonstrated expertise.

Director, Asset Protection Responsibilities:
  • Lead and enhance enterprise asset protection, loss prevention, and risk mitigation programs across a multi-site operation
  • Develop and execute strategies that strengthen security controls, reduce losses, and support operational resilience
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data, reporting, and risk intelligence tools
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, technology, finance, compliance, and executive leadership on enterprise risk priorities
  • Oversee investigations, internal controls, security programs, and incident response strategies
  • Identify vulnerabilities and implement scalable solutions to strengthen security and operational performance
  • Lead enterprise projects focused on process improvement, technology enhancements, and control effectiveness
  • Support audit readiness, compliance programs, and governance standards related to risk and security operations
  • Establish meaningful KPIs and reporting frameworks to monitor trends, measure outcomes, and drive accountability
  • Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and security-related capital initiatives
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in asset protection, enterprise security, operational risk, investigations, or related fields
  • Ability to travel across Canada 80%
  • Strong background in loss prevention, corporate security, risk management, or operational controls
  • Experience leading multi-site programs and large-scale improvement initiatives
  • Exposure to enterprise risk frameworks, compliance, audits, and security technologies preferred
  • Proven ability to use analytics and data to support risk mitigation and decision-making
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills
  • Experience in regulated, industrial, logistics, financial services, or critical infrastructure environments considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education in business, security management, criminal justice, or related field preferred
  • Professional designations related to security, investigations, or risk management considered an asset
