Job Summary

The Accounting Assistant will provide support to the accounting department by handling basic financial tasks maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely processing of transactions. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices payments and expense reports
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain and update financial records
• Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger maintenance
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Assist in preparing financial reports
• Communicate with vendors and internal staff regarding billing inquiries
• Perform general administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred)
• 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel QuickBooks
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

$35000 $50000 annually (based on experience)
